Quotes

Following are quotes on having your best year from some notable authors . . .

1. Hal Elrod, The Miracle Morning "Your level of success will rarely exceed your level of personal development, because success is something you attract by the person you become." This emphasizes the importance of personal growth in shaping an extraordinary year.

2. Robin Sharma, The 5 AM Club "Small daily improvements over time lead to stunning results." Sharma highlights the power of consistency and incremental progress in transforming your life.

I have read several of Robin Sharma's book and heard him speak in person. Highly recommended.

3. Gretchen Rubin, The Happiness Project "What you do every day matters more than what you do once in a while." Rubin encourages focusing on daily habits to make lasting changes.

4. James Clear, Atomic Habits "You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems." Clear emphasizes building effective systems to achieve meaningful goals.

Check out my newsletter where I reviewed this book . . . https://www.100goalsclub.com/100_Goals_Club-family_and_friends_in_2023.html

5. Tony Robbins, Awaken the Giant Within "Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible." Robbins underscores the importance of clarity in goal-setting to create your ideal year.

It was in attending a Tony Robbins seminar in 2018 that ultimately led to writing my 100 Life Goals Book.

6. Brendon Burchard, High-Performance Habits "Clarity is the child of careful thought and mindful experimentation. Keep asking questions. Keep exploring. Keep refining." Burchard advocates for self-reflection and adaptability in crafting your best life.

7. Brian Tracy, Eat That Frog! "One of the very worst uses of time is to do something very well that need not be done at all." Tracy stresses prioritization and focusing on what truly matters to maximize your year.

Brian Tracy is a fellow Canadian and black belt in Karate and someone whose material I followed closely when I was in my twenties.

A new start . . .

The start of a new year is nothing short of magical. It’s a blank page, a fresh canvas, an invitation to dream bigger, reach higher, and take inspired action toward what truly matters to you. As we turn the calendar to a new chapter, we are reminded that no matter what the past year held, the next 12 months are bursting with potential waiting to be unlocked.

This is the time to reimagine what’s possible, to set goals that light a fire within, and to take steps—no matter how small—toward creating the life you’ve always envisioned. Whether you’re planning to tick off long-awaited milestones, embark on new adventures, or deepen your focus on personal growth, this is your year to make it happen.

At the 100 Goals Club, I believe in the power of intention. This is more than just a list of goals; it’s a commitment to living a life full of purpose, passion, and possibility.

So, as we step into this fresh start, ask yourself: What could I accomplish this year if I truly believed it was possible?

Our own goals for 2025

Kathy and I use the "Annual Power Page" tab included in the 100GoalsClub_Worksheet you received when signing up. It really makes annual goal setting such a simple process.

Within the 10 goal categories, review each of the 100 goals and decide which ones that would benefit you most by focusing on in 2025. We personally set 27 goals that we hope to accomplish this year. This number should ideally be between 10 and 20 goals. Because we are both retired, we have more time to focus on a few more than I would recommend for you.

Below is a sampling of what we've decided is important in 2025. Each of the numbers aligns with one of the 100 individual goals.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT.

1 Read at least one chapter 5 days/week.

3 Attend a personal development seminar

6 Do a deep dive on one new topic I currently know little about - Artificial Intelligence

7 Focus on positivity in 2025

8 Attend at least one meeting at the closest Toastmasters Club and consider joining again.

HEALTH AND FITNESS.

19 Play Pickelball minimum once / week (assuming we love the game following our introductory course). This is goal that we set last year and have finally signed up for a course!

If you are not sure on how to use the Annual Power Page tab to complete your annual goals, reach out and let me know and I'll do my best to help you get started (you'll need aa basic familiarity with Excel to start)

My top 10 suggestions to making this your best year yet

Here’s to Making 2025 Your Best Year Yet!

As we welcome the new year, it’s the perfect time to reset, refocus, and reignite your passion for living a goal-inspired life. Keeping with the 10 life categories of the 100 Goals Club, here are my best tips for making 2025 an extraordinary year:

1. READ A SELF-HELP BOOK (Personal Development) Transform your mindset and life by diving into a self-help book that resonates with you. One of my all-time favorites is The Magic of Thinking Big. Reading is one of the most impactful habits for personal growth, yet many people stop reading after school. Make 2025 the year you explore new ideas and perspectives.

👉 Check out my favorite self-help books here.

2. EXERCISE 3–5X A WEEK (Health) Regular exercise is life-changing. It boosts your energy, sharpens your focus, and transforms your health. While forming the habit can be challenging, the rewards are undeniable. Let 2025 be the year you prioritize your fitness.

👉 Discover the benefits of aerobics here.

3. PUT YOUR FAMILY FIRST (Friends and Family) Strong relationships are the foundation of a fulfilling life. Identify your VIPs—your Very Important People—and make it your mission in 2025 to prioritize them.

👉 Learn how to set relationship goals here.

4. PLAY YOUR HOBBY (Hobbies and Passions) Hobbies bring joy and individuality to your life. Whether it’s painting, gardening, or music, make time to nurture your passions. I’ll be sharpening my skills on the bass guitar this year.

👉 Explore life goals around hobbies and passions here.

5. PAY YOURSELF 10–20% FIRST (Financial) Building wealth starts with this simple principle: Pay yourself first. Start by saving 10% of your income, and aim for 20% if you’re ready for a challenge. Automate this habit early in 2025 and watch your financial security grow.

👉 Learn how to pay yourself first here.

6. BE A GOOD EMPLOYEE (Career) If you work for an employer, becoming a standout employee is key to advancing your career. Set a goal to go above and beyond in your role this year.

👉 Check out my tips for being a great employee here.

7. CREATE SOME ADVENTURE (Adventure) Life is meant to be an adventure! Whether it’s big or small, plan experiences that excite and challenge you. 👉 Get inspiration for adventure goals here.

8. TRAVEL (Travel) Kathy and I are eagerly planning three major trips in 2025. Whether you dream of exploring far-off lands or rediscovering hidden gems closer to home, make travel a priority.

👉 Find ideas for travel goals here.

https://www.100goalsclub.com/benefits-of-travelling.html

9. DECLUTTER YOUR LIFE (Lifestyle) Decluttering brings clarity and peace of mind. This year, we're focusing on tidying up areas of our house that have become cluttered. Start with one area of your life and feel the difference. Purging feels productive and great! Better yet, learn that you can live a great life without collecting so much stuff in the first place.

👉 Get tips on decluttering here.

https://www.100goalsclub.com/declutter-your-life.html

10. KEEP A LIFE JOURNAL (Leave a Legacy) Capture your journey by keeping a simple weekly journal. This not only helps you reflect but also creates a legacy for future generations.

👉 Read why journaling is a powerful habit here.

Some of you may have a goal this year to create your own list of 100 Life Goals. That’s an incredible step! I created mine when I was 30, and now, at 61, we're reaping the rewards of living a goal-driven life.
